What We Do for Carrier ACs in Udupi
Every visit starts with a proper check. Depending on the fault, the work can include:
- Fan motor and capacitor replacement: repair or replacement of indoor blower motors, outdoor fan motors and weak run capacitors.
- Annual maintenance plans: scheduled service visits through the year for homes and offices with one or more Carrier ACs.
- Gas refilling with leak repair: we trace the leak point, repair it, vacuum the system and then charge refrigerant to the correct pressure for your model.
- PCB and electrical repair: component-level checks on the PCB before replacement, which often saves a significant amount of money.
- Regular service and jet wash: foam or high-pressure water cleaning of the indoor coil, filters, blower and drain tray, along with a wash of the outdoor condenser.
- Copper piping and drain work: replacing damaged copper pipes, re-insulating lines and extending drain pipes where needed.
- Installation and uninstallation: we install split and window ACs with the correct bracket, level indoor unit and a vacuumed refrigerant circuit.
- Compressor diagnosis: we check the capacitor, overload and wiring first, because many so-called compressor failures are actually cheaper parts.
- Remote and display problems: when the AC does not respond to its remote, we check the receiver, display board and remote itself.
Service for Every Carrier AC Model
Many Carrier ACs we see are inverter splits where the PCB, sensors and compressor drive work together closely. That is why we test each part before replacing anything, instead of swapping boards on guesswork.
Local Conditions and Your AC in Udupi
In Udupi, summer heat is followed by long, humid monsoon months, so an AC works hard for a large part of the year. Moisture on the indoor coil attracts dust and mould, and drain lines choke faster than in drier places. We give both extra attention during every Carrier AC service.

Carrier AC Faults We Repair Regularly
Each of these has a clear cause that our technicians can find:
- Bad smell from the vents: mould and bacteria on a wet, dirty coil, cleared with a proper service.
- AC tripping the MCB: an electrical fault, short circuit or a compressor drawing too much current.
- Loud or unusual noise: loose panels, a worn fan motor or a vibrating outdoor unit.
- High electricity bills: an AC that runs for hours without cutting off wastes a lot of power.
- Outdoor unit not starting: the indoor fan runs but no cooling comes, because the outdoor side is not switching on.
- Remote not working: receiver board faults, display issues or a damaged remote.
- AC turning off by itself: the unit shuts down after a few minutes and restarts later.
How to Get Better Cooling from Your Carrier AC
- Close doors and windows while the AC runs so it does not overwork.
- Switch off the AC from the remote before turning off the mains supply.
- Keep the outdoor unit in a shaded, open spot with space for air to flow.
- Clean or rinse the indoor filters every two weeks during heavy use.
- Run the fan mode for a few minutes before switching off to help dry the coil.
